Getting organized
Although it might be the last, like the Maya predicted, the year 2012 is already here and we may as well start getting organized in the best possible way.
What about choosing a nice planner, for a start?
To be honest, picking a good old paper planner – maybe a slightly retro or handmade piece - gets even more exciting in the time of Google Calendar and of the other countless electronic cplanners constantly calling us to order with their chirping digital voices.
So, here’s our little 4-piece selection for 2012!
Moleskine 3-Piece Cahier
A classic rivisited: inspired by traditional Cahiers, the set includes both a weekly planner and daily notebook, plus a 2 pocket holder for loose notes or receipts. All 3 Cahiers are kept neatly together with an elastic band attached to the pocket holder.
The Field Notes Kit for 2012
This is not exactly a planner, but for us it’s been love at first sight with the Field Notes “survival kit” for 2012. It does not contain bandages, water, dog food, and duct tape, but notebokes, stenobooks, pens, pencil and, rubber bands. Plus the 1- 18-Monther Calendar, of course.
Agenda 2012 by Julie Joliat
Once again, this brilliant Swiss designer ha created an “interactive” agenda. This year, it will take you on a year-long journey to the most astounding features of the planet, inviting you to draw and re-invent the places you know. A great way to kill time during those long phone calls…
MoMa Pocket Calendar
MoMa’s planner is always sweet and essential, hiding among its pages some of the masterpieces from the museum’s collection in a variety of mediums. Featuring a “Birds” theme, this year the appointment calendar sports a lovely cover strewn with small orange eggs.
