In the hanging garden
Strange as it seems, while we are freezing in our winter coats, somewhere in the world there’s somebody bathing in the sea under a hot sun.
Chances are, on the small Indonesian island of Bali – where the temperature currently comes close to 31 Celsius degrees – the guests at Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel are quietly soaking in multi-leveled infinity pool overlooking the jungle.
The resort’s concept is clear and easy: to integrate itself in the scenic environment - a landscape of green hills, smoky volcanoes, ancientvtemples and old villages – the place has been built according to the surroundings in shape and style.
Which accounts for the pools’ curves reproducing the shape of the hills and the pure Balinese-style villas scattered in the greenery. Needless to say, peace and quiet reign all over the place. Yet, there’s no need for entertainment: all you need to do is open the windows and have a look outside. And if boredom should knock on your door, you can always try the spa.
