Inside the menuisier’s workshop
An ancient profession relying on the perseverance of a few artisans still sharing its secrets. Alessandro Visi calls himself a menusiere – from the French word menusier, a name attributed in the 17th century to the furniture makers from Piedmont. In his workshop in Ponte a Poppi, near Arezzo, he gives birth to unique projects with local woods and traditional techniques.
