You can have a snack in the kitchen, sip a drink in the drawing room, buy some young designer’s clothes in the closet and listen to a dj set in the bedroom. That’s more or less the spirit of Rome’s latest underground venue, in the ancient Monti Neighborhood.

 

It’s called Casa Clementina and it’s like a real home, complete with furniture, sheets, kitchenware and even a small garden. The main idea is that of creating a pleasant domestic party atmosphere – although nobody knows who the mysterious Mrs Clementina really is…

 

Besides listening to the concerts and dj sets, you can leaf through a book, chat on the sofa, try on some clothes or take a look at the paintings scattered on the walls. For the upccoming New Year’s Eve, Casa Clementina is temporarily moving to a larger space. If you plan to be in Rome, check out their Facebook page. for reservations.
