Slowear meets Liberty, the historic London department store, renowned since 1875 for its creativity and its legendary printed fabrics. The result is an exclusive new project: the creation of a men’s ready-to-wear “total look” inspired by British sartorial heritage. A collection of shirts, trousers, outerwear and knitwear which draws on the abundant archive of classic Liberty prints, revisiting them with a contemporary perspective. Labelled Liberty of London, the first collection will be presented in Milan this June for launch in the 2011 Spring/Summer season. Manufactured and distributed by Slowear, the clothes will be on sale not only in Liberty’s prestigious Tudor building on Regent Street, but also in a selection of the world’s premier multi-brand stores.
