IN THE PILGRIMS’ FOOTSTEPS
For more than 1000 years pilgrims have been walking, riding on a bike or going on horseback along the old pilgrimage routes reaching Santiago de Compostela – a sacred place in north west Spain – from all over Europe. The experience, a great mix of spirituality and adventure, is certainly worth trying – whether you’re a faithful Christian or not.

ON THE ROAD TO COSTANTINOPLE
The Orient Express recalls of long rail journeys on a luxury carriage towards a not too far and yet fascinating West. Today, that glorious train does not exist anymore, but the hotel chain that took its name has located, purchased and restored some 35 vintage carriages to make them run again on various routes – London to Venice, the Scottish Highlands, South East Asia and more.

A TRANS-SIBERIAN ADVENTURE
5.600 miles of railroad, seven time zones, twelve regions, and 87 cities. Now, these figures might seem scary, but to embark on a journey along the Trans-Siberian Railway – crossing Eurasia from Moscow to Vladivostok – you really need to take your time. To look out of the window, to stop at major cities, and maybe to finally read that Russian classic novel that’s been sitting on your bedside table for ages.
