Two days in Paris

Metropolitan, romantic, historical, multiethnic, bohemian, and enjoyable. Anyone who’s been to Paris at least once is bound to keep a very private memory of the city – an abstract idea influenced by personal tastes and preferences.
One thing’s for sure: the Ville Lumière has many different faces – and an incredible amount of different and exciting hotels – small and affordable, grand and impressive, retro and romantic… All you need to do is pick the right one.
CLASSIC
L’Hotel
The epitome of glamourous and bohemian Paris, from the time of Oscar Wilde – who chose this hotel as his last home – to the swinging sixties. The new and fancy interiors have been designed by Jacques Garcia. E c’è anche un ottimo ristorante. On the Rive Gauche, of course.
LUXURIOUS
Meurice
Rue de Rivoli, right in front of Les Tuileries: with its 5-star Nineteenth century luxury, the Meurice has been here ever since 1835. Think marble, gold and crystal chandeliers. And don’t miss Valmont Spa and Le Meurice restaurant.
CHIC
Verneuil
Intimate, nostalgic and rich in personal touches, the Verneuil is a small Seventeenth century building in Saint Germain des Prés, surrounded by antiques shops, cafés and museums. Books are everywhere in the hotel, and the rooms have beautiful trompe l’oeil ceilings and framed pressed flowers on the walls.
COOL
Mama Shelter
Philippe Starck in a sober version. Can it be true? Apparently, yes. At Mama Shelter, the (decidedly affordable) rooms are only slightly eccentric, and the bathrooms even minimal. The designer’s creativity expresses itself mainly in the lounge restaurant on the ground floor. The location is also quite unusual: close to Père Lachaise cemetery, in the twentieth arrondissement. To discover a young and different Paris.
DREAM HOME
Haven in Paris (see picture above)
No concierge, check-out time or room neighbours, but your own private flat – a tastefully and uniquely furnished apartment in your favourite neighborhood, perhaps with a cozy terrace for your alfresco breakfast on sunny mornings. You’ll get to feel like an authetic Parisian – for a few days at least.
