Published on December 1967, Axis: Bold as Love is the Jimi Hendrix Experience's second album. It was released at a time when Hendrix was getting more and more popular all across the globe. This is also the reason why Hendrix got around to spend more time in the studio, fine-tuning the recordings of some of the most overwhelming and challenging compositions for electric guitar and voice of the sixties.
