The term "Gurkha" refers to the native soldiers of Nepal, who, after the Anglo-Nepalese war of the early nineteenth century, entered the service of the British Empire. They fought all the major wars while wearing these trousers, from the Anglo-Afghan ones to the two World Wars, up to the most recent Gulf War and Afghanistan War.
And it is precisely the characteristic trousers worn by Nepalese soldiers that have inspired the modern Gurkha model proposed by Incotex for the spring-summer 2020 collection.
Originally knee-length, it is unlike any other model of trousers thanks to the original integrated fabric belt, high at the waist, crossed and fastened laterally by two buckles. In the version proposed and reinterpreted by Incotex, the strap is extended on the right side with an adjustable buckle and without loops.
Designed with a regular fit, it is made using very refined fabric that combines fresh linen with the softest cotton.
