The freedom to travel, get on a plane and in a few hours be on the other side of the world is one of the greatest achievements of the last 50 years.
Exploring and getting to know the people, places, flavours and sounds of other countries is one of those freedoms whose value we understand the most at this particular time.
What if you didn't need a plane to discover the sounds of the world, but simply a pair of headphones and an internet connection?
Museums are becoming interactive, Netflix subscriptions and the like are growing dramatically, and radios all over the world can be listened to with a simple click. This is what you can do thanks to Radio Garden, a digital project developed from 2013 to 2016 by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision.
